Miércoles y jueves en Portugal

Hoy, debido a que Portugal se vio afectada por una huelga de profesores, disfrutamos de algunas visitas culturales. En primer lugar, un representante de los asuntos sociales de Santa Maria da Feira nos dio una charla sobre los refugiados ya que trabaja directamente con los que están en el proceso de integración en la comunidad y nos dio una información muy interesante acerca de cómo los asuntos sociales se involucran con ellos.
Luego, visitamos el Castillo de Santa Maria de Feira y posteriormente visitamos la bodega situada a la orilla del río y dimos un paseo por la ciudad donde pudimos apreciar las vistas de los monumentos más significativos.
Por la mañana cogeremos un vuelo con destino a Madrid con la mente llenas de ideas y planes para el futuro del proyecto.

 

 

Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th November

Today, as Portugal was affected by a teachers strike and school was closed, we enjoyed some cultural visits. First we listened to a speech from a representative of the social services in Santa Maria de Feira, who works directly with refugees who are in the process of integrating into the community and who gave us some interesting information about how the social services are involved.
Then we visited the Castle of Santa Maria de Feira, and afterwards we were received in the Mayors office by a representative who described to us the how the local government supports local schools and social services.
After this we were taken to the city of Oporto  where we were able to visit the Port cellars on the riverside and walk around the town appreciating views of the most well known monuments.
In the morning we will catch a flight back to Madrid, minds full of ideas and plans for the future of the project.

Tercer día en Portugal

Hoy 14 de noviembre, hemos quedado con nuestros socios en el colegio donde hemos tenido nuestra 2ª reunión del proyecto para hablar de los objetivos, tareas, horarios, presupuesto, movilidades, selección de alumnos, página web, diseminación, impacto, newsletter e informes.

Posteriormente,  profesores y alumnos comimos en el colegio.  A continuación nos dirigimos a la Universidad de Psicología en Oporto donde nos otorgaron los certificados de asistencia. Luego nos presentaron un vídeo sobre “Rights of the Child Convention” donde participaron familias, alumnos y la comunidad educativa. Finalmente, nos fuimos en autobús al hotel para descansar después de haber disfrutado de este día fantástico.

3rd day in Portugal

Today 14th November, we have met our partners to go to Arrifana school, where teachers and students carried out the 2nd Erasmus + meeting to talk about objectives, tasks, schedule, budget, mobility, participant selection, website, dissemination, Newsletter, impact and reports.
After that, teachers had lunch at school. Then, we went to Oporto University-Psychology Faculty for the attendance certificate giving ceremony and families, students and delegations presented their video about “The Rights of the Child Convention”
Finally, we took a bus to come back to the hotel to have a rest after having enjoyed this fantastic day.

2º Día en Portugal

Hoy 13 de noviembre, hemos quedado con nuestros socios para ir a conocer el colegio Arrifana donde profesores y alumnos trabajarán durante esta semana. Al entrar, los alumnos nos han deleitado con canciones tradicionales.
Después, cada uno de los socios hemos presentado a nuestro colegio y presentamos el vídeo sobre la realidad de los refugiados en España realizado por nuestros alumnos, y vimos videos presentados por los otros colegios.
Más tarde celebramos la primera reunión del Proyecto Erasmus + y a continuación visitamos el colegio. Posteriormente, profesores y alumnos comimos en el colegio. Finalmente, nos fuimos en autobús al hotel para descansar después de haber disfrutado de este día fantástico. 

2nd day in Portugal

Today 13th November, we have met our partners to visit Arrifana school, where teachers and students will work during this week. Teachers, Directors, delegations and students have welcomed us singing several songs.
After that, each partner has shown their own schools and presented their video about The history of Refugees in their country carried out by students.
Then, we carried out the 1st meeting to talk about the Erasmus + Project. Afterwards, we visited the school. After that, both students and teachers had lunch at school. Finally, we took a bus to come back to the hotel to have a rest after having enjoyed this fantastic day.

Llegada a Portugal

Hoy, 12 de noviembre, fuimos al aeropuerto de Madrid para dirigirnos a Oporto. Cuando llegamos la coordinadora portuguesa Guiomar nos dio la bienvenida y nos llevó al Hotel. Luego, nos dimos un paseo por Oporto y dimos un paseo por el río. Después, nos sentamos en una terraza muy agradable y a continuación, nos fuimos al hotel para descansar ya que al día siguiente muy temprano teníamos que dirigirmos a Santa Maria Da Feira. Todos disfrutamos muchísimo de este fantástico primer día.
1st day in Portugal

Today 12th November we met at the airport in Madrid to fly to Oporto. When we arrived in Oporto, the Portuguese Coordinator, Guiomar was waiting for us to welcome us and take us to the hotel. Next, we went on sightseeing to the town centre and went for a walk around the river. Afterwards, we sat down in a nice terrace. After that, we came back to the hotel to rest as we had to go to Santa María Da Feira very early in the morning the following day. We really enjoyed this fantastic first day.

Friday 5th May

After breakfast we visited the ruins of the Ancient Edessa, the present town is built in an elevated position, high above the ancient ruins and the vast agricultural valley, dedicated to the cultivation of peaches and cherries which provide an important income for farmers. The ancient town on Endessa was extremely influential, and large. Only 12 hectares have been excavated to date, and another 2000 hectares remains under the soil, beneath the new town and agricultural land. The city was built on the work of slaves as was usually the case. After a short walk around the town, we arrived at the Council Building and were greeted by the Mayor who thanked us for our visit to his town. Then we drove to the foothills of the second highest mountain in Greece, Kajamacalan, where natural hot springs has been converted into pools for healing bathing. The winter these combine with the activity of the ski stations. Of course we enjoyed the waters!! In the evening we joined our host and colleagues for the farewell dinner. We look forward to meeting our friends, who are also dedicated to the continued communication between schools in international projects in the future.

Viernes 5 de mayo

Hoy después de desayunar, visitamos las ruinas de la antigua Grecia, la cuidad actual enclavada en una posición elevada en lo alto de las ruinas antiguas y su amplio valle agrícola dedicado al cultivo de melocotones y cerezas que producen un gran ingreso para los granjeros.
La antigua ciudad de Edessa fue extremadamente importante. Solamente 12 hectáreas han sido excavadas hasta la fecha y otras 2000 hectáreas yacen enterradas debajo de la nueva ciudad y la tierra agrícola- La ciudad fue construida gracias al trabajo de los esclavos.
Después de un paseo por la ciudad llegamos al ayuntamiento donde el alcalde nos dio la bienvenida y agradeció nuestra visita a la ciudad.
Después fuimos a la segunda montaña más alta de Grecia llamada Kajamacalam donde las termas naturales han sido transformadas en piscinas. El invierno combina esta actividad con la de esquí. Por supuesto disfrutamos de las termas.
Por la tarde nos reunimos con todo el grupo para asistir a la fiesta de despedida.
Esperamos con ilusión reunirnos de nuevo con nustros amigos con quienes nos comunicaremos en futuros proyectos internacionales.
